The workshop designed well. Excellent. Hope BSAR University will conduct the second workshop in future. We could learn and practice many new tools. The challenge of virtual learning is the learning environment. We have to customize virtual tools before applying in our classroom. The second challenge is efficiency of learner and facilitator in the virtual world. As Prof. Ramani rightly said, "virtual reality",we have to introduce the virtual tool in a realistic way. Challenges & Solutions - Virtual Learning

Though virtual learning has more scope in making our classroom virtual and our students digital citizens, there are many challenges..Some students who come from rural areas still find it difficult to use technology like power point in their teaching or learning in spite of every infra provided to them at the institution.. They are reluctant to use them often and they feel comfortable with their traditional teaching methods..When there is a compelling need they switch over and will be back again.. Hence I feel it is not catering the individual needs of rural students..Though our TN govt has provided them with free laptops they are not using it effectively.. It can reach them only with the strenuous efforts of teachers....

All the platforms  taught  in the workshop were useful.  I feel that wikispace and nicenet is very user friendly, so I will explore these two tools to teach my students to start with and later on explore edmodo.  I will ask my students to start a class blog motivate them to post articles, poems,etc. to enhance their creative witting skills. 

All the sessions in the two-day workshop were useful.Hope to practice with students and make learning language using technology fun and enjoyable.

One thing we understood is the teacher is no more a sage on the stage.Teacher effectiveness depends on the pro-activeness of the teacher.Definitely there are challenges but there are many possible solutions.One thing that comes to my mind right now is to start slow but steady.We can start with a small group with a single course than we can expand the horizon accordingly.
Blogging is very interesting.Edmodo is useful.Virtual learning is challenging but achievable.Wonderful experience overalll!looking forward for more such workshops.

Limited access to quality technology in rural or peri-urban setting with poor computer literacy, social isolation and the need for self-discipline can stand as a lacunae in initiating virtual classrooms.Other potential problems with virtual learning environments can be selecting the target audience As online courses are driven by computer technology and Internet access, a person without these capabilities has a challenge to effective learning.
